Now in its third year, the Walls & Ceilings Leadership Award celebrates individuals who set the standard for excellence in our field. For 2025, that honor belongs not to one person, but to a powerhouse team: the father-and-son duo of Richard L. Reppert Sr. and Richard L. Reppert Jr. of R.L. Reppert.

The Repperts’ leadership is not a title—they’ve earned it through decades of consistent vision, discipline, and an unshakable commitment to both their craft and their community. Founded by Rick Sr. more than 50 years ago with just four part-time employees, R.L. Reppert has grown into one of Pennsylvania’s premier wall and ceiling contractors, employing over 100 skilled professionals at peak times. The company’s repeat appearances on the Top 50 Contractors list are proof of its sustained excellence. The company is now run by the two Repperts.

Vision That Builds More Than Structures

From its base in Emmaus, Pa., R.L. Reppert specializes in large-scale projects—hospitals, hotels, schools, and assisted living facilities—while offering an extensive service range from structural metal framing to specialty wall systems, carpentry, and EIFS. Under the Repperts’ guidance, the company has maintained a rigorous standard of quality that keeps clients returning year after year.

Their leadership is defined by resilience in challenging markets and the ability to adapt without compromising standards. As Bob Watson of Eastburn & Gray PC notes, “Rick Reppert is a strong and tireless businessman, absolutely devoted to the success of his company and the construction industry as a whole.”

A Reputation Forged in Relationships

The Repperts understand that leadership in construction is as much about relationships as it is about results. Bob Humphrey of L&W Supply highlights their reputation for “top-quality work and workers,” noting a 40-plus-year partnership marked by trust, respect, and personal integrity.

This ethos extends beyond clients and suppliers to their workforce. Employee loyalty is a hallmark of their leadership, exemplified by team members like Mark Sayre, who recently celebrated 45 years with the company—a rare testament to the culture the Repperts have built. “He has been an integral part of our team, mentoring new generations while leading some of our most impressive projects,” says Rick Jr.

Commitment to Community and the Future

True leaders invest not only in today’s projects but in tomorrow’s people. The Repperts support education in both the trades and academic settings, a commitment Matt Meneely of ClarkDietrich calls “the key to long-term success.” Their leadership model blends operational excellence with social responsibility, ensuring the company remains both a business leader and a community pillar.

Leadership That Lasts

For decades, the Repperts have demonstrated that success in a competitive industry depends on more than low bids—it requires trust, quality, and a willingness to stand behind every project. “We may not always be the lowest bidder, but we guarantee results,” Rick Jr. says, underscoring a philosophy that values long-term reputation over short-term gain.

Through their combined vision, integrity, and dedication, Richard Reppert Sr. and Jr. have not only grown a thriving business but have also set a leadership standard for the entire commercial wall and ceiling industry. Their legacy is one of quality built to last—much like the structures they create.

Walls & Ceilings proudly congratulates them on receiving the 2025 Leadership Award.
